Role Description
Baringa's Energy Policy and Regulation practice in Australia is hiring a Consultant or Senior Consultant to advise governments, regulators, networks and developers on NEM market reform, network regulation, CER integration and wholesale market design.
- Advise policymakers on energy transition policy design, including renewables, storage, networks and data centre grid integration
- Support transmission planning on renewable energy zones, access rights and planning policy
- Lead regulatory strategy and business case work for an AER regulatory proposal
- Advise on consumer energy resources integration, DSO strategy and network tariff design
- Advise on future wholesale market design options
- Asks for: 2+ years (Consultant) or 4+ years (Senior Consultant) of energy sector and/or consulting experience
- Asks for: Policy or regulatory experience in the NEM
- Asks for: Experience working with AEMC, AEMO, AER or government energy agencies
- Asks for: Qualitative and quantitative research and analytical skills
