Role Description
Okra Solar is hiring a senior executive to own supply-demand planning, manufacturing and sourcing strategy, and global inventory and landed-cost tracking for its off-grid Mesh-Grid hardware. Based in Porto or Shenzhen with hybrid working.
- Maintain a rolling manufacturing, purchasing and shipping plan aligned to commercial pipelines and financial constraints
- Scale supplier base to hundreds of thousands of connections per year
- Lead import/export readiness, incoterm strategy and compliance across China and target markets
- Build cost models tracking inventory value from raw material to finished goods
- Mentor the supply chain team and manage contract manufacturer relationships in China
- Asks for: 10-15 years in supply chain and manufacturing operations, especially in China and hardware industries
- Asks for: Track record negotiating manufacturing, supply and service agreements
- Asks for: Experience leading start-up to scale-up growth phases
