Role Description
GSC seeks a consultant (individual or firm) to build an open-access Solar + Storage Finance Toolbox of standardised contracts, risk frameworks, due diligence checklists and storage finance notes, and to run training workshops in four regions, from September 2026 to September 2027.
- Draft standardised PPA, EPC, O&M and battery lease templates for solar + storage
- Develop risk scoring model and risk management framework
- Prepare a technical, financial and legal due diligence checklist
- Write guidance notes on financing short- and long-duration energy storage
- Deliver toolbox training at four regional workshops
- Asks for: Postgraduate degree in finance, economics, law, energy policy, business administration or related field
- Asks for: Minimum 10 years in utility-scale renewable project finance, with focus on solar PV and BESS in emerging markets
- Asks for: Experience with commercial banks, DFIs, MDBs or investors
- Asks for: Experience developing standardised financing, legal or commercial documentation
- Asks for: Excellent English; Spanish an asset
